President Barack Obama’s job approval rating has sunk to 41 percent, matching a previous low for the sitting president, according to aWall Street Journal/NBC News poll.

In particular, the president’s foreign policy rating hit a low of 37 percent. According to the Journal, 65 percent of respondents “don’t think the war [in Afghanistan] was worthwhile,” while another 44 percent disapprove of the prisoner swap that recently brought home Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl. The graph below offers a glimpse at how Obama’s foreign policy ratings have steadily dropped since December:

Meanwhile, the Journal reports that “the share of Hispanics who see Mr. Obama favorably and approve of his job performance has dropped from 67% in January 2013 to 44% in the latest poll.” Better news for Democrats arrives in other polling results: Americans mostly agree with Obama’s positions on such issues as education and the environment, and four out of five Democrats surveyed responded favorably to a possible presidential nomination for Hillary Clinton, who launched her book tour last week in New York City.

The poll was conducted between last Wednesday and Sunday and involved 1,000 adults.
